What We Provide
60-minute counselling sessions are available in both in-person and virtual formats. In-person sessions take place at Daybreak’s warm, welcoming office space in the Highlands neighbourhood. We are excited to provide services to individuals (teens and adults), couples, and families from throughout our region. Our 60-minute session rate is $150.00. CongregationCare
Daybreak is committed to supporting mental health within local churches and faith communities. We offer a special rate of $125.00 per 60-minute session for anyone who is referred to Daybreak from a local faith community. Individuals wishing to take advantage of this special rate will need to provide the name of the minister who referred them to Daybreak.
ClergyCare
Daybreak cares deeply about the well-being of those who serve in staff positions of faith communities, as well as missionaries and faith-based non-profit workers. For these individuals, Daybreak has created a special ClergyCare rate of $100.00 per 60-minute session.
CampusCare
We are passionate about supporting individuals as they journey through their college and university years. To demonstrate this commitment, we are pleased to offer students enrolled in higher education programs our special CampusCare rate of $75.00 per session. A limited number of CampusCare spots are available. Please contact us if you’re interesting in booking a session. [Regrettably, we are unable to accept additional CampusCare clients at this time.]
CoupleCare
Daybreak provides Prepare/Enrich premarital counselling for couples. This process generally requires six 1-hour sessions or three 2-hour sessions. The rate for premarital counselling is $125.00 per 60-minutes (plus a one-time fee of $35 paid to Prepare/Enrich for a required assessment).

A Word about Insurance
Many insurance plans include coverage for services provided by Canadian Certified Counsellors. Daybreak maintains a list of insurance companies that have an established track record of covering the services provided by CCCs. However, we recommend that you check your “explanation of benefits” or consult with your benefit provider to confirm whether your plan includes coverage for counselling with a CCC (or a “clinical counsellor”).
Please note that we can direct bill to many insurance providers through Telus eClaims and ProviderConnect. If your insurance company cannot be direct billed, you will be provided a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
